Applying for your provision driving license. You can apply for your provisional licence up to three months before your 17th birthday. The earliest date your provisional licence can become valid is your 17th birthday. You can take your theory test once your provisional licence becomes valid. The driving theory test is set in two parts; multiple choice and hazard perception. You need to pass both parts to pass the driving theory test. Once you have passed the driving theory test you can then apply to take your practical driving test. Your driving instructor will help prepare you for your theory and hazard perception test if required. Driving Test: Your driving instructor will advise you when you are ready to take your Driving Test. Listen to your driving instructors advice, this avoids disappointment if the instructor is not available on the day or does not think you are ready to pass your driving test. |
